Amazing to think that it has been four years since I’ve been in Mexico. I’m hoping we can get back there next year. As the fall progresses and winter falls, you can expect to see a lot of beach pictures on the Photo of the Day.
Quote of the day: “The sea is only the embodiment of a supernatural and wonderful existence. It is nothing but love and emotion; it is the Living Infinite. ” – Jules Verne
The interesting people you run into near the Denver Greyhound bus station
One pair of black socks abandoned on the sidewalk – and two blocks away, another pair
Interior brick walls of old buildings
My first day as a Chia pet (more about that later)
Today’s guest poet: Robert Browning
Meeting At Night
The grey sea and the long black land;
And the yellow half-moon, large and low:
And the startled little waves that leap
In fiery ringlets from their sleep,
As I gain the cove with pushing prow,
And quench its speed i’ the slushy sand.
Then a mile of warm sea-scented beach;
Three fields to cross till a farm appears;
A tap at the pane, the quick sharp scratch
And blue spurt of a lighted match,
And a voice less loud, through joys and fears,
Than the two hearts beating each to each!
It will be some time before I see a moonlit beach again, as Roscoe is still needing to stay at the vet’s and the bill is mounting, but he is worth it. Until the night comes, memories and pictures will have to suffice.
Quote of the day: “Have you ever wondered why certain people cross our paths or are put into our lives? I wonder how many so-called chance meetings are really part of a bigger plan. Then that leads me to wonder if my presence has the same impact on someone I seemingly just passed by. Maybe if we approach every other person we encounter as if there is a specific reason and greater purpose than chance to why we met at that very moment in time, there would be a lot more civility and much greater care taken in our interactions.” – K. Wierman
That Roscoe is getting better
That my ex-husband is my ex-husband even though we are still close
That the “Twee-woo” bird has arrived!!
That there are 33 days until spring
To get to this spot, you must walk down a sandy, gravelly road, climb some precarious rocks that appear to volcanic in nature, and allow yourself to be wind-whipped as your toll for taking in the view. At least I did on this day.
Quote of the day: “If you want to s succeed in your life, remember this phrase: That past does not equal the future. Because you failed yesterday, or all day today, or a moment ago. All that matters is: What are you going to do, right now?” – unknown
Being fancy once in a while
Cherishing the people that you love with all your heart
Knowing that everything changes and that can be a blessing
So what does it look like he’s saying to you? The fact that he is reclining and surrounded by seashells make him most provocative to me. And what’s that he’s holding in his hands? Could that be… a cocktail? For me?? Oh, you shouldn’t have! Well, actually, yes, you should have.
Quote of the day: “Commitment is what transforms a promise into reality. It is the words that speak boldly of your intentions. And the actions which speak louder than the words. It is making the time when there is none. Coming through time after time after time, year after year after year. Commitment is the stuff character is made of; the power to change the face of things. It is the daily triumph of integrity over skepticism.” – Abraham Lincoln

Quote of the day: “To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.” – C.S. Lewis

Quote of the day: “To love a person is to learn the song that is in their heart, and to sing it to them when they have forgotten.” – Arne Garborg
Amazing clouds tonight
Two cars of the same make and model but different colors parked next to each other (but not at a car dealership)

Quote of the day: “”Imagine yourself in the ocean. The ripples and waves, the smooth surface gliding across the world… It is there; your flow. Tune into it. Be one with yourself. Glide along the waves, float along the ripples, rise with your tides. The waters of the oceans flow anywhere they want- they travel the globe, experiencing rivers, lakes, streams, atmosphere, and back down. When the waters hit a rock or other obstacle, they splash then quickly become in the flow again. Be IN your flow… don’t stand there letting it hit you, don’t go against it… find it and allow it to guide you and grow you.” – Marcia Garrett
