Ready for take-off at the 1940s Dance at the Boulder Municipal Airport.

Daily gratitudes:
The giant bolt of lightning outside my house tonight
Bats winging their way through the twilight treetops
Crickets
My bed
My parents
I haven’t travelled since last year (OH MY GOD, I HAVEN’T TRAVELLED SINCE LAST YEAR!!!), but I’m travelling today. Yea!!!!!!!
A few things have changed here in the airport. I had the pleasure of doing the scanner dance, and that was new for me. And I had the added bonus of having one leg humped by security – but only one leg. Apparently the other leg was deemed not to be hollow, and therefore was not a threat to national security.
Kelsea and I were greatly amused by the pat-down procedure that we watched another woman undergo. Before we got to security, I was joking that perhaps I should request a patdown since it would be more action than I’d seen in months. But after being patdown voyeurs, I’m rather glad I didn’t have one.
Seriously? I don’t allow people to touch me that intimately on a third date.
And I’ll tell you, ladies, it seems to defeat the purpose of not wanting to feel sexually intruded upon by a male patter-downer when you are being patted-down by a clearly (and slightly leering) lesbian who is taking entirely too much pleasure in and time with the process. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I love lesbians. Wait….well, you know what I mean. Too each his own. Her own? I’ll just try to exit the hole I’ve dug for myself. Wait….OK, shutting up now.)
More to come….
